New

APRNTCSHP previously had two small widgets in the bottom corner of every page -- one for submitting feedback and one for changelog updates. Both were part of Featurebase's free tier but felt like an afterthought. They were small, easy to miss, and only did one thing each. They have now been removed and replaced with a single Messenger widget that does everything in one place.
The Messenger sits in the bottom right corner of every page. Click it to open. From the home screen you can navigate to four sections -- Home, Messages, Help and Changelog.

The Help Centre is where you will find articles and guides about using APRNTCSHP. You can search for topics directly from the widget without leaving the page you are on. More articles are being written and will be added regularly -- covering everything from how to use the search overlay to how to navigate the industry pages.

Fibi is an AI assistant built into the Messages tab. Ask it anything about the site and it will try to help -- whether that is finding a resource, understanding a feature, or getting advice on your apprenticeship application. Fibi can also search the Help Centre articles to give you more accurate answers as the library of guides grows.

Every update to APRNTCSHP is logged in the Changelog tab inside the Messenger. No need to visit a separate page -- you can see what is new directly from wherever you are on the site.

New

The old landing page had text nav links across the top. The problem was that students had to already know what they were looking for.
The new landing page shows everything available at a glance -- an icon grid covering every section of the library, split into โBrowse and By Industryโ, so you can jump anywhere in one click. Returning students also see a recently visited section so they can pick up where they left off. A resource count under the heading shows exactly how much is in the library.

The search bar has been replaced with a full-screen search overlay. Every resource in the library is shown by default. Start typing and results filter in real time from the first letter. Use arrow keys to navigate, Enter to open, Escape to close. A filter drawer lets you narrow by category with multi-select support.

Click the share icon in the navbar on any page to generate a QR code specific to that page. Point someone's phone at it and they land directly on the same page -- useful for sharing a specific industry page, organisation or resource.

Found something useful that is not in the library yet? Click the lightbulb icon in the navbar and submit a URL with a short description. Every suggestion goes directly to the review queue and will be considered for the next library update.

Organisations, Companies and Communities now load 12 cards at a time with page controls at the bottom. This keeps pages fast as the library grows and makes it easier to track where you are while browsing.

Work Experience now has its own dedicated page at aprntcshp.co.uk/work-experience.
Previously, work experience resources were buried as a single section on the Resources page. With so many platforms and guides available, it deserved its own space.

There is a hidden page. That is all.

New

A batch of improvements focused on making the site easier to use, faster to load, and more polished throughout.
You can now search across the entire library from the homepage. One search bar that queries organisations, communities, companies, resources and more simultaneously. Results appear instantly as you type.

Every resource, organisation, community and company card now has a thumbs up button. Vote for the resources you find most useful. Votes are anonymous and persist across sessions. No account needed.

Organisations and Communities pages now have filter pills above the card grid. Click a tag to filter by typeย โ Mentorship, Job Board, Identity Led, Events and more. Works alongside the search bar simultaneously.

Recently added resources now show a small "New" badge on their card. Disappears automatically after 30 days. The badge is driven by the date each entry was added.

Every resource on the Resources page now shows its type next to the source name โ Article, PDF, Video, Template, or Tool. Makes it easier to know what you're clicking before you leave the site.

Every card now has a small copy link button. Click it to copy the resource URL directly to your clipboard. Confirms with a check icon for 1.5 seconds.

A subtle circular button appears in the bottom right corner after scrolling down on any page. Click it to return to the top instantly.

When a search returns no results, an animated astronaut floats across the screen instead of a blank page. Includes a clear search button to reset.

Visiting a URL that doesn't exist now shows a branded 404 page with links back to the homepage and Resources page. Click the 404 to trigger a hidden easter egg ๐.

All industry pages now show a breadcrumb at the top ("Industries โ Law" for example) so students who land directly from Google can immediately find the other industry pages.

Logo images on Organisations, Communities and Companies pages now load lazily as you scroll. Faster initial page load, especially on mobile.
Hovering over a tag pill on Organisations or Communities now shows a small tooltip explaining what the tag means. Helpful for first time visitors who are not sure what "Identity Led" or "Sector Specific" means.

New

Two new widgets have been added that bring feedback and updates directly into the site without ever leaving the page.
The "Feedback & suggestions" button in the footer now opens a popup form directly on the site. No new tab, no redirects, no account needed. Type your feedback and submit. That is it.

Previously clicking the button opened Featurebase in a new tab. The new experience is significantly lower friction and means more students will actually submit suggestions.
A small card will now appear in the bottom right corner of the site for returning visitors whenever a new update is published. It shows the title of the latest changelog entry and disappears once dismissed.
First time visitors will not see it. It only appears after a new update has been published since your last visit. It is subtle, non-intrusive and rewards people who come back to the site regularly.

New

A lot has changed since the last update. Here's everything that's new.
A brand new page listing major UK employers with apprenticeship programmes. From Google and Goldman Sachs to Rolls Royce and TfL, every company links directly to their apprenticeship guide.

The second industry page is live. The Finance page covers banking, accounting, insurance and financial services apprenticeships with resources, guides and a communities section.

The generic descriptions on every organisation and community card have been replaced with tags. Instead of a vague one-liner you can now instantly see what each card offers โ Job Board, Mentorship, Events, Identity Led, and more.

Two new sections have been added to the Resources page:
Assessment Centre โ guides on how to prepare for and stand out at apprenticeship assessment centres.

Get Inspired โ real apprentice stories and case studies from Gov.uk, Higherin, Not Going to Uni, Apprenticeships.scot and more.

The Law industry page now includes a Podcast section and an expanded Communities section for students pursuing legal apprenticeships.
The footer "last updated" text now reads "Last updated [date] โ see what changed" with a direct link to this changelog

Improved

A big update today. The Resources page has been completely expanded and a brand new Industries section has been added to the site.
The Resources page has grown from 3 sections to 7. It now covers the full apprenticeship application journey from start to finish.
New sections added:
A new first section covering what apprenticeships are, how they work, and which level is right for you. 4 guides from Gov.uk, Best Apprenticeships, My Great First Job, and My World of Work.

6 resources covering interview tips, common questions, and assessment centres. Includes a PDF guide from Apprenticeships.gov.uk and guides from Gradcracker, Success at School, Best Apprenticeships, and Prospects.

6 resources covering work experience by year group and by sector. Includes sector-specific guides for law and finance alongside year group guides for Year 11, 12 and 13.

4 resources covering how to build your LinkedIn profile and develop your personal brand as an apprenticeship applicant.

The sticky section nav has been updated to include all new sections and scrolls horizontally on mobile so every pill is reachable.

A brand new section of the site. The idea is simple: pick your industry and find everything you need in one place, firms, organisations, resources, and blogs, all specific to that sector.
The first industry page is Law.

19 firms with solicitor apprenticeship programmes including Linklaters, Freshfields, Clifford Chance, A&O Shearman, and Slaughter & May
3 organisations supporting aspiring legal apprentices including Aspiring Solicitors and Legally Apprentice
3 resources including how to write a legal CV and the LegalCheek Solicitor Apprenticeship Most List
LegalCheek as a blogs and news resource

More industries coming soon. Finance, Tech, and Engineering are next.

Improved

The site now works properly on phone. Here's what changed.

The three section pills were overflowing off screen on mobile. They now scroll horizontally and automatically snap to show the active pill as you scroll through the page.
The site can now be installed to your phone home screen. On Android, Chrome will prompt you to add it after a couple of visits. On iOS, tap Share then "Add to Home Screen". It opens full screen with no browser bar, just like a native app.

Fixed a white flash when navigating between pages
Hidden external link icons on mobile โ the entire card is already tappable so the icon was redundant on small screens
Please share with anyone who's applying for apprenticeships and let me know if you can add to the website in anyway by sharing resources or giving feedback using the โFEEDBACK & SUGGESTIONSโ button in the bottom left corner.
